My heart goes out to you
scott
i suddenly lost my husband on sept.16 09 from a heart attack, perhaps you have seen my story on this blog. it is important to take the time you need and then take some more and we do have to redefine our selfs and our lives when we lose someone because our roles have changed and so has our lives.
i have been a spiritual, metaphysical doctor and teacher for many years and have done alot of transition work ,my husbands being the hardest but also gave me some peace. if i can help you in anyway please let me know. i have seen spirit many times in my life especially after someone is passed and that has kept me going this time in my life. my heart goes out to you and the most important thing to believe in is yourself and the sacredness of all life

Laurel:
Thank you so much for your message. It is people like you who are helping me every single day and I so appreciate your time.
Yesterday, I had a slow afternoon so I decided to go ahead and put up the Christmas tree. I will be traveling next week and won’t have time and I have always put up my tree the day after Thanksgiving, since I was a child it has worked that way.
Once I had the tree up, I went looking for the lights and cannot find them anywhere! I’ve always used white lights, I like the pure simplicity of them on the tree. James always complained, he wanted colored lights so we would compromise and I’d have white on the tree and then colored lights around the windows and doors.
When James was first diagnosed and came home after his initial chemo treatments, we decorated his room with colored lights and left them up all year. He just loved laying in bed and looking at the lights, it helped to calm him.
Well, I decided yesterday that since I cannot find the lights, I’ll need to get new ones and they are all going to be colored lights, just as Jamesy would have wanted. I think he is telling me it’s going to be colored lights this year, which is why I cannot find the whites! Bet I’ll find them after I have the colored lights up!
I am still dreading the holidays, but working very hard to make them as “normal” as possible, if there is such a thing.
I was wondering if there might be any books you would recommend on the metaphysical?
